Female Player Animations+ (FPA+)

I'm running into the same issue where the game crashes upon loading into a save. I'm using only the essential files, i've tried only installing this mod in the personal mods folder, i've tried reinstalling the game and starting over. I thought it'd be a conflict with something else in the folder but even with just this mod and GOTR i'm having this problem.
1. Have you tried using the master uninstaller, then reinstalling all the Essential Files? If that doesn't work...
2. Try removing "GFL_Life.xtbl" from your patch.

I think i got it working now but in a weird way. I tried using the vanilla taunts, compliments and walk styles restored mod and once i was able to load, i just copied some of the files with the same name, as well as the essential replaceable anims. Definitely unorthodox but i think i managed to make it work lol.

I think I know what's happening. Your save game had one of the following Compliments/Taunts applied to your character before installing the Essential Files:

"A-O-Kay"
"Brotherhood Compliment 4"
"Brotherhood Taunt 4"
"Ronin Compliment 4"
"Ronin Taunt 4"
"Samedi Compliment 4"
"Samedi Taunt 4"

Those Gang Taunts/Compliments are hidden in the Essential Files because they are the FPA+ Easter Egg Taunts. "A-O-Kay" was removed to make more room in memory for Replaceable Animations. Using the "Vanilla Taunts & Compliments" Special Set fully restores those animations, so your save was able to finish loading.

So you did the right thing to fix it
, Cheezit. Apologies for the inconvenience. I will have a look into fixing it.

UPDATE: This was incorrect. Please see Post #18.

Using the vanilla special set still makes my save (or even a new save) crash. Deleting "GFL_Life.xbtl" (or "YKZA_Life.xbtl") allows the save to load but results in all of the replaceable animations being replaced with a T-pose stance. Again, thanks for looking into this issue (and making the mod)

"GFL_Life.xtbl" was an empty file. I filled it as much as I could with fixes for male NPCs using certain female animations. But the file is not required. A few of the in-game Taunts/Compliments might look different without it. But that's all. So if it's causing memory issues for you, then it should be safe to avoid installing that file.

"BRO_LIFE.xtbl", "CRIB_LIFE.xtbl" and "YKZA_LIFE.xtbl" prevent enemy gangs from using the Easter Egg Taunts (even if that mod isn't installed). If you've read the Read Me for the Easter Egg Taunts, you know you don't want that happening.

The T-Posing (and possibly your crashing issue) is likely related to a temporary issue in Juiced Patch v6.0. They are looking into fixing it. But for now, remove "preload.tbl" and "preload_anim.tbl" from your SR2 root folder, and do not install the versions of those files generated by GotR to your root folder.

This suggestion seems to have fixed the T-posing issue - thank you! Also, is it only possible to add one replaceable animation (one each for walks, taunts and compliments) at a time using this mod, or can you for example load multiple custom taunts into the game?

Only one of each can be installed at a time.

Every time you install a Replaceable Animation, you are changing the amount of animation data the game has to keep loaded (Hence the 270 KB limit). Having multiple Replaceable Compliments would be wasteful, because you could only have one of them applied to your character anyway. The other one would just be sitting there wasting memory.

Also; Replaceable Animations cannot use Props, Foleys, Effects, IKs or Voice Lines. Because of this, I have made the most of them with the other Compliments, Taunts and Walks in the Plastic Surgeon (This is why all the Walk animations use Props).

FPA+ UPDATED TO v1.0.1
This fixes an issue where the game would crash upon loading into a save for those not using the "FastDoors" option in Juiced Patch.
v1.0.1 Change:
"Shadow Box" animation string has been removed from YKZA_LIFE.xtbl. (This does not impact the player, and I don't remember ever seeing NPCs using this animation.)
Explanation:
This turned out to be a silly mistake on my part!

There is an Optional mod in FPA+ called "No Door Animations". This was made a very long time ago in FPA+'s development, before Juiced Patch was a thing. After Juiced Patch released, I suggested implementing "No Door Animations" via Juiced Patch, so it can be easily applied on top of any other animations mod (not just FPA+). The guys at Kobraworks added it in as "FastDoors". So I started using it and forgot about it. While wrapping up development of FPA+, I made use of GFL_Life.xtbl to correct some male NPC animations. In doing so, I added one more animation than the game's memory can handle, but my game didn't crash because having "FastDoors" enabled in Juiced Patch made room for that one extra animation by disabling the door animations.

So in the most roundabout way possible, I shot myself in the foot!

Sorry to anyone who experienced this issue. It's entirely my bad. FPA+ should now work fine with or without "FastDoors".

Thanks to @twintribes and @Cheezit for raising this issue.

IMPORTANT!: Before downloading this update, delete your "FPA+ v1.0" folder from your PC. This is to avoid the "Windows Search Indexing" issue mentioned in the original post.
