We decided to overhaul the front page a few weeks ago.
Considering Saints Row The Third Remaster, Saints Row reboot, and the original Saints Row got their own modding forums in recent years, these new forums pushed the ones with bigger mod selections and means to be modded lower on the list (like Saints Row 2, for which many people use mods to make the game run better). This required people seeking mods for those games to scroll to the bottom every time they checked the forums.
Instead of sorting them in chronological or reverse chronological order, which would put a forum with a lot of mods like Saints Row 2 or Saints Row IV at the bottom, we decided to completely overhaul the front page and categorize the forums by their purpose rather than the games.
The main point of this idea was to put Mod Releases, Tool Releases, and Guides for all the released SR games at the top of the front page, letting people see new releases first regardless of the game they're interested in modding. After all, the majority of people who visit the forums do so to browse for mods.
The order we decided on is: Announcements, Other, Mod Releases, Tool Releases, Guides, Tutorials & Resources, Get Help/Troubleshooting, Mod Requests, and finally Mods in Progress. All general discussions (and Off Topic) have been moved as a subcategory of Other.
