Working on adding PS5 buttons to the game

Spaditas SR1 styled SR2 Hud and Janson Clean Map Mods are seen in video (used the mods as this is my first time trying anything like this and just wanted to see how it would look, no intentions of taking their mods or uploading anything using their mods without permission first, Big ups to them!)

Update: with buying my first car, preparing for my girlfriends birthday and money being pretty tight I wasn't really able to proceed with the mod.

UNTIL NOW

Project Next Gen will be my graphical Button mod, originally I was just going to do PS5 buttons as my custom DualSense will be coming soon, but I thought why not take the xtra effort to give all my saints a more modern aesthetic for this game we all love.

Project Next Gen will include updated buttons for:
DualSense
DualShock 4
Xbox Series X
Xbox One
Keyboard and Mouse

I will be getting to work on this mod literally rn cant wait to share it with y'all in the near future

Beta Uploaded!

• Dark variant of the Xbox One buttons
• Dark variant of the Keyboard & Mouse buttons
• DualShock 4 buttons

Some Keyboard & Mouse buttons might still be missing — I’m aware and working on it!
If you’re testing and come across any missing or outdated icons, please let me know which ones so I can prioritize them.


No issues found so far with the Xbox and PlayStation buttons, but I plan to run a few more tests tomorrow just to be sure.


Also, I’m curious if there is any way to access or replace the images used in hud_btnmash.lua really want to update those as well.


Any feedback, suggestions, or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Wasn't planning too but i do have the adequate Joycon buttons for the Switch

I can defo add them in for you just tell me if you prefer the solid black textures more similar to Joycons themselves or prefer white textures similar to DualSense and Series X textures

Xbox 360: It's either "ui_btnmash_360.peg_pc" or "ui_btnmash_xbox2.peg_pc".
PS3: "ui_btnmash_ps3.peg_pc".

PC; You'll want to edit "ui_bms_10.tga_0.png" in "interface_backend.peg_pc".
There are a few different versions of this file: Vanilla, GotR (Base), GotR (Homerun Bat & Mjolnir Hammer), GotR (All Weapon Mods).

I've put them all together in the attachment to save you looking for them. Keep up the good work!
