If all the sliders are at 50 then they line up pretty well. However start moving the sliders and strange things happen:
This is the earrings in vanilla (no mods) Saints Row. The displacement is so subtle no wonder quality control missed it. The ironic thing is the earrings line...
Well I finally managed to get the earrings to line up.
The problem is as soon as I change the shape of the face the earring goes out of position.
I tried each individual morph and it looks like Volition have messed up the morph target file (cmorph_pc) as the head morphs have no relation...
I've started work on trying to fix the Morningstar earrings. Basically it's just trial and error (mostly error) with a hex editor. This is the closest I've gotten so far but my bed is calling me so I'll get working on it tomorrow.
Yes, that's too small. Try downloading it again. I think a newer version has come out since you first posted anyway. Version 1 Beta 3 should be 20,966,846 bytes once you've downloaded it.
Are you sure only the blue channel is selected when you fill the image? Try filling it with white. If only the blue channel is selected it should fill as blue, otherwise it will fill as white.
Just a heads up that GamersGate is selling Saints Row the Third and some of the DLC at 50% off this weekend. Saints Row 2 is also £2.09. Not sure if the offer is just in the UK only though.
You need to use the UpdateASM tool to update the customize_player.asm_pc file. Whenever you alter a str2_pc file you have to locate it's corresponding asm_pc file and update it.
By the way if you are using Photoshop you can use the Nvidia dds plug-in to load and save dds files directly.
Have you thought of adding a MD5 check of the Saints Row executable file in the next version of GOS? That way you can check if the person has the latest legitimate version. This site seems to have a good freeware MD5 checker. It may help weed out the pirates (although I doubt it).
Edit...
I know. I just not one to let reality come between me and a really awful pun. :)
Taking the inception idea, it would be good if after you defeated the final boss, while you are celebrating the final boss interrupts the party (as you are still in the simulation) and you have to defeat him...
No problem, mikado did most of the work. I mostly just packaged it together. It's pretty annoying that something that Volition could (and should) of fixed themselves only took a couple of hours, tops, for the community to fix. Who do Volition think they are ... Bethesda? :p
Yeah I noticed that...
Your idea seems to fix the clipping problem. Attached is the new version.
Edit: As long as mikado doesn't mind Idolninja can use this in his Gentlemen of Steelport mod if he wishes as general consensus seems to be that it's a cosmetic bug.

Thanks for the texture. Attached is a new version with your texture and it looks 100 percent better.
I think the original texture was DXT1. I changed it to DXT5 because it's better for textures with an alpha channel. Maybe the game engine doesn't like DXT1 textures with an alpha channel.
Here's the fix. I haven't done much testing with it but everything seems to work. Just copy the 3 files into the root of your Saints Row directory. It will conflict with any mod that updates the dlc2_customize_item.asm_pc file though, so use Gentlemen of Steelport to merge the mods together in...
