I wrote the image reduction code for mipmap generation in C++. DDS conversion time has become very fast.
Currently the time required for DDS conversion in DXT format is about 0.15 seconds for textures of 512 × 512 size and about 0.6 seconds for 1024 × 1024 size.

Currently I'm working on multi-threading of the sr2pegtool.
Although multi-threading of libsquish has been completed, speedup of image reduction has not been completed yet.
It is easy to speed up image reduction by DirectX API, but I avoid it to eliminate external dependency.
Even just the first file can achieve considerable image quality improvement.
Although the game works without the second file, hundreds of textures will be replaced with high resolution ones by the second file, so please install both files.
I've been taking a long time to treat my illness.
So I think I will resume activities slowly so as not to strain my body.
Anyway, sr2chunktool was completed.
I confirmed that the file #2 can be successfully downloaded from Google Drive with guest account.
These files were compressed in RAR 5 format.
In order to decompress these files, please use the latest version of 7-Zip or UNRAR command line tool (it's free).
sr2chunktool shares modules with sr2pegtool, and the current dev. version is V1.21.
Since I am currently preparing an instruction manual, please wait for a while until release.
Automatic copying to SR2 installation folder does not work due to access rights problem.
Is the patch.vpp_pc file created in a folder with SR2ModManager.exe?
If so, please manually copy that file to SR2 installation folder.

I don't plan to increase the speed of DXT texture compression so far because there's a compiler limitations.

This mod realizes a clear image by replacing hundreds of textures and changing fog settings. Also the vignette effect will be removed.
