I'm not sure if this is an error of some kind or not but it would seem some characters might be importing with incorrect bone positions. I haven't tested this with anyone else yet, but Viola's eye bones are in the wrong position as seen here:

Yep same here, have a full C++ environment installed, all the VC runtimes etc. still getting errors. Don't know what to do.
It doesn't seem to matter whether I use the CLI or drag and drop a file onto the tool, both of us seem to be getting the same error despite having all the necessary...
What if you don't have a machine with Ubuntu installed? i doubt many of us do here. However for those of you that got this to work correctly, could you maybe share the unpacked files in private?
Oh that sucks. Well if it doesn't work with the remaster then, I guess I'll have to wait until someone else comes along and makes a proper ripping method then?
Hm maybe. Think you could give me your plugin? I can give this another shot and see what comes of it. Also what do you mean when you said "Doesn't extract real head from npcs"?
So I tried that a while ago when I did have the remaster installed, problem I ran into is that the UVs were scaled completely wrong, but I fixed that. The second problem I ran into was that when I tried importing all pieces of someone like Shaundi, parts of her model just didn't seem to fit...
Ah I see. At least you're still alive lol. Do you think you could pass this project onto someone else maybe? I would still like to be able to acquire some of the models from the remaster :)
Yeah man i feel ya, one of the posts for the remaster on Xentax was me, as usual no one cared to respond of course. I hate that mentality on that website, brand themselves as a "research" website if you know what I mean but all it is just the latest CoD extraction or like you said, trending...
Well I don't know what happened here, looks like our hopes and dreams might have taken a vacation for the time being, but to ignite a small fire again I ripped Shaundi's textures from the remaster in case anyone wanted them. Still we don't have her mesh at the moment so it's 50% useless, but hey...
Second this, I'm also hoping someone comes along to support the remaster files as well. It can import the rig_pc but it won't import the mesh_pc or whatever it is. I don't know how to rip textures either from it.
Oh I thought you said there's no way to export the meshes as a 3d object or something here?

Now that I can unpack the str2 files, what do I do with the files inside them?
