It is pretty game-breaking. If you fall far enough before you start another glide it will actually launch you out of the map and you will keep ascending infinitely. The only way to recover from this is by loading a previous save.
We need to know the weapons and skins you were using at the time that you couldn't complete the mission. We're trying to figure out which weapon skins are causing this issue.
If anyone is still having trouble with this, my friend and I were finally able to get through it by setting all of our weapons back to their default skins.
This keeps happening to my friend and I, we cannot complete this mission. Neither of us have any mods installed and we both verified our caches through Steam.
Nice find, very cool.
You forgot to include a readme with the install instructions, as it says to do in this thread, but other than that good job on your first mod.
Are you talking about the simulation glitch effect that constantly makes objects and NPCs blurry for a second? In the tweak_table.xtbl file, search for Glitch_effect_lifetime and change the value to 0. I'm uploading a file that contains only that change, just in case anyone doesn't already have...
I guess it does remove that as well. It's part of the same file that has the tracers which appear behind you while in the air, so I don't think there's a way to have one without the other. In my opinion, it's not really a big deal, it's pretty easy to aim where you want to. Four giant arrows...
I suppose it might help with game performance a bit, since those effects aren't being loaded any more. I just think the game looks a lot nicer without all of that unnecessary clutter.
I think all three files are the final versions, nothing more we can really do to them. As I said, I would...
Here's an additional file that you guys can use with this mod. It just removes the glowing tracers that appear on your hands and feet while you are in the air. It also removes the glowing tracer that appears behind you briefly when you start sprinting or change directions while sprinting...
Not true, it's still shooting me way above the game world, into endless floating, even with these values. It happens when I am gliding, let myself fall a good distance, then start gliding again.
