Accidental deletion of gamesave

This is the continuation of me trying to get back the lost gamesave...

Try click "Visit settings/Download + Cloud". Maybe that enable turning off.

It's already disabled

So what do I do now to get the damned gamesave back (Hmm, I lost a gamesave with no way to get it back... Another problem with Steam )

Edit: Something I forgot to mention - I didn't accually delete it, I accidentally override it with another game, but I override it from inside the game.

You don't actually want to turn it off, if what you're trying to do is get a file from it. If you actually deleted the file, then just launch the game, and it will download the file again. That's it.

If you saved over the game with a new one, AND you have the cloud off from the start? Sorry... it's gone. If you'd deleted it, maybe it could have been recovered, but now there's a new game taking up that slot, and moreso you can;'t even pull it out of recycle bin or use an undelete tool.

You've...gotta.....be kidding O_O I played at least a couple weeks worth on that gamesave... with a character that I loved (metaphorically).

PS - So I want Cloud on, right?

Yes, there's usually not a reason to turn it off.

Yes, deleting or overwriting data tends to lose it. Furthermore, all digital forms of storage are able to fail at any time. Keep backups of everything important to you. Not just saved games.

I never unchecked Cloud. It must have done it in the first place.
