Here is some projects I'm working on: I figured out how to port weapon from Blender to the game. I know it's not the best way but it works. If I undrestand that weapons SDK tutorial I will use Maya instead of Blender. So far it's not clear for me.
I recommend you do it like me: Use Blender for modelling, UV unwrapping and texturing, then switch to Maya for rigging and exporting. Here's a link to free student versions of all Autodesk products. Working on the second SDK release made me realize that it's simply not possible to do everything SR modding related in Blender, because it works vastly different to Maya when it comes to rigging. That's why the tutorial I'm currently writing for adding customization items is also centered around Maya.
