Afraid of future updates.

Before modding I was very happy about every update to Saints Row but now I'm afraid of future updates (workshop update) because I have fully modded SR right now (almost everything is changed:
-characters
-customize item, player
-decals
-dlc 1-6
-effects
-interface
-items
-misc tables
-preload anim, effects, items
-shaders
-skybox
-sr3 city 0, city 1
-superpowers
-vehicles)
And I have a question: is it possible to disable automatic steam updates?
This is really important to me.

As far as I know from testing the modding patch, it does not break any existing mods created in the old format. The whole purpose of this patch is not to replace or to remove any existing modding functionality but to introduce a way to load assets like models, textures or strings without limitations. So the patch's main goal is to make it possible to add art assets instead of actually modifying existing stuff. Therefore, you will still have to use the old format for anything like tweaking table entries or adding lines to scripts. It's not like you can't use both formats together in a single mod either.
I recommend signing up for the modding patch beta to test if it breaks anything for you. If it does, leave a bug report on this site and switch back to the unpatched version.

is it possible to disable automatic steam updates?

I have that same question. I haven't found a way to disable automatic updates. I find it very unnerving that Steam can update my game at any time and break some or all of my mods without even giving me the option of NOT updating.

You can choose if Steam updates the ga,es when you start Steam or when you launch the game, maybe when you set it to update upon launching the game and you play the game offline, it won't update. Even if that works it will be annoying to do.

Ok, so in Steam are 3 options (I don't know how it's in English):
1. Always update
2. Update when I play this game
3. High priority - update this game always and first
So I choose option 2 and I think about playing offline till next update
And of course I made a backup of everything (11gb).
