Anyone else hate the Trafficking missions?

Yesterday I was doing a Trafficking mission with Zimos, and it was very annoying. First of all, I have the infinite ammo upgrades for grenades, explosives, special weapons, and rifles. But for some reason it decided to take this away for the mission. It didn't even start me with full ammo! Now Zimos gets out of the car to do a deal, and all these Morning Star gangsters show up. Everything goes fine. On to the next deal.

During the second deal, even more showed up. I got out of the car and attacked them. The deal was complete. So I waited for Zimos to get back in the car, but he didn't. Instead I see him sticking around, shooting at the gang members, and not getting in the car. I try to drive up to him, but nothing happens because I'm in the passenger's seat. Seriously? I can't drive even for a second? Zimos wasn't even trying to get in the car! He was just waiting around, shooting the gangsters, as if he thought he would kill them all eventually.

So I get out of the car (which has been pretty badly damaged) and get in a new one closer to him. But what's this? While I was getting in the car, Zimos has walked even farther away. Just get in the fucking car already so we can get to the next deal! Thankfully, he did end up getting in the car eventually.

Third deal. After the deal is done, more of the same happens. Now these gangsters he's killing, what happens when he kills them? More show up. How do they get there? In cars. What do they do with the cars when they get there? Get out and leave them there. What can they do with the cars once they're dead? Nothing. Once they're dead, more show up. And they show up in more cars. So there's cars all over the place, pretty much always exploding due to the amount of stuff there. Not only that, but it's making it harder for Zimos to find the way to the car, since there's tons of flaming wreckage in the way.

Of course, there's also the brutes. They send TONS of these things. They're everywhere. As soon as I kill one, I see one or two trucks carrying even more. And they push cars around. That includes the car I'm sitting in, waiting for Zimos to get in the car. So the car is constantly being pushed around, keeping Zimos from being able to get in. Of course before he gets anywhere near the car, the car is damaged enough that I need to get a new one.

Another thing I haven't mentioned: what typically happens when one of the gang members gets near the car I'm in? He pulls me out. Now the game registers that as me getting out of the car, so it assumes I want Zimos to as well if he's in there. Rather than stay in the car and wait for me to get back in, he gets out and I have to deal with more of this shit. Eventually the car I was in exploded with me in it (inevitably), killing me instantly. Knowing I would have to restart from the first deal, I just exited the mission.

Does anyone else absolutely hate these missions?

Grab a SWAT ATV and everything will be fine. Quick brute kills, unable to get pulled out of it, and cars explode a lot faster, plus, infinte ammo.

Actually, the escort missions are the easiest of them all. All you have to do is blow shit up. :) I usually take my shiny, purple, Saints tank. As my MC (Laura Bailey) says during Mayhem: "How can you beat a tank!? It's a tank!" :p

Actually that's not a bad idea. Surprised I didn't think of it.
It still doesn't solve the problem of my stupid follower not getting in the car though. (Or does it?)

The idea is to always fire at the oncoming car, even when it has stopped already, and use the AoE dmg to kill everyone inside (and outside) it. Even when it's empty, I still shoot the car. :) Should anyone still be left standing, they're taken down soon enough (as they likely already incurred much dmg from the blast). Zimos will get in soon enough when a 'wave' is dead.

Speaking of whch... kinda, yesterday, when I had my Saint tank parked on a sidewalk (with me no longer in it), a STAG soldier tried to board my tank! I'm like "Wut?!!" He actually got in, but I entered it quick enough before he could drive off with it! (funnily enough, he wasn't thrown out: you just board the vehicle with STAG guy still in it). Never knew NPC's could do that!

Wat? xD

Well there wouldn't be much point if you had infinite everything right? As for how to get the cars outta the way.... Blow that shit up!

I hate the Snatch missions for Zimos (and Kinzie); usually the Hard Mission drives me insane. I kill the first Morningstar, then use my Z key to recruit the women and they simply don't get in -they seem to think it's more fun to run circles around my car. When they finally do get in, I'm pulled out of the driver's seat and tossed to the street. So the people I need to get back to Zimos exit the vehicle as well. Meanwhile more cars with Morningstar arrive. As does one Brute who pummels me repeatedly around, while I desperately try to keep the other Morningstar off of me, find a car and get those people in. And when I do get to break away from the carnage, it seems I left one follower behind, so I need to hightail back, or I will fail the mission altogether when the timer runs out. Even with a mod that makes Activities easier, it can be a hell. Especially since Zimos' people have a tendency to die when they seemingly refuse to get in as soon as possible. Their horrible or AI -or whatever is causing them to run around like headless chickens- pushes my frustration into a verbal barrage of profanity. Though Trafficking seems easy compared to Snatch missions. Then again I do use Infinite Ammo, so I can shred the vehicles pursuing me with the RPG. It was the same with Pierce during Steelport Here I am. After leaving Planet Saints -having killed the Brute- Pierce is boxed in by some Morningstar vehicles and he refuses to get into our car.... Anyway, that's why I prefer to play solo as much as I can -I hardly ever call a homie to help me out.

Those homies are idiots, always getting in the way, blocking your line of fire, taking their sweet ass time to get in the car, shooting from the car causing trouble and then the street walking saints jump in and start shooting Genki while I'm fighting him.:rolleyes:

It would be nice to have commands that would tell them to stay, follow, go away such as like in Unreal Tournament.;)
