Audio Bug over Bluetooth

I have a strange problem with Saints Row 4. I'll try my best to describe it.

I play the game on my laptop and I wear my bluetooth head phones. The problem is the game has some type of bug with the bluetooth software. When I listen to any of the music or dialogue, it sounds like a drive through speaker. Normally this is caused when the bluetooth connection can not connect to the stereo service on the computer.

If I alt+tab out, any other sounds from my computer will play perfectly fine, it's just this game that has that issue. I just did a fresh install from steam as well.

Hey, a new one!

Could you provide more information about your specs? What brand/model are the headphones, what type of soundcard do you have, are you using onboard Bluetooth or a dongle?

Also, just for sanity's sake, could you check to make sure it's not trying to spit out 5.1 instead of stereo?

Thanks!

Motorola s305 for the Headset
Onboard bluetooth module = DELL WIRELESS 380/BCM2070 TRUEMOBILE BLUETOOTH 4.0 LE MODULE/CARD
Sound card = Soundblaster recon 3di
Audio set to stereo.

The audio works fine to my tv via HDMI and from the laptops internal speakers. All other sounds are fine, even with SRIV minimized. No mods. Steam copy. Verified Files. Did not do the magical computer voodoo dance though :)

Laptop is a m14x Intel/Nvidia if that adds to the information

Sweet. Next step: Try toggling through your microphone settings through the Pause/Options menu.

Then try the magical computer voodoo dance. That's a critical step in audiolib.

Just signed in to say I fixed the audio. I changed the microphone settings from always on to off or whatever. I can't remember, it's been a while. Thanks for the prompt responses and forgive my delay in saying this is resolved.

No worries, glad it got settled. I'll take a look at the mic input thingy and see if that's doing something it shouldn't be.

Thanks!
