Changing name to a mod-file in folder does change something?

Hello,

I'd like to know if i change the name of a mod in my folder to avoid overwriting changes something:

I have a mod that uses a file called ''customization_items.xtml'' and yesterday i downloaded a different mod with the same ''Customization_items.xtml''.

I want to know if that ''customization_items.xtml'' is a base file and not change, or i can change the name of a .xtml file to avoid overwriting and have both mods.
