In great Gentlemen Of The Row mod for Saints Row 2, was ability to use cheat codes to change main character (Boss) skin to NPCs skins. Despite the fact, that in the Saints Row 2 character customization began to have more aspects, this feature with cheat codes were useful. And if it was done for Saints Row 2, then it means that it is possible to do it to Saints Row (2006) by analogy, because the structure of these two games is similar. It will be too useful because in Saints Row (2006) there is no ability to play as female character!

Let me stop you right there. In SR2 the game had a CUT character swap cheat code category called "Character" with the cheat action being "Set_Player_Character" which then called for a character preset name being "Preset_Name" which still worked so by default it could be re-enabled easily. None of this existed in SR1, at least it seems that way anyways. Just because something is in SR2 does NOT mean it IS POSSIBLE to do in SR1 respectively. I mean sure it could be possible to NPC swap on the fly but it would require somebody skilled enough to do one of the following. Find the memory address that controls the playa, more or less meaning if there is a static ID for the playa that can be changed to say another ID, then possibly you could swap to that npc. Another thing that could be done assuming again somebody skilled enough tackles it, is find hooking, and patching methods for the cheat code system to swap or manipulate one of the cheat codes/cheat categories and allow to swap to a npc, but again this is assuming the playa has a static id that can be manipulated and changed to another npc id. Alot of games such as RE5, RE2 Remake, etc have this ability so it really all falls down to finding those memory addresses/pointers to swap the id's. However as is, the actual Character swap cheat category, actions, etc do not exist in saints row 1.
