Corrupted saved games

Hello, i'm new in this forum.
I was wondering if there were a way to recover corrupted saved games.
And if it is possible, how do i do that?

the game says it can't load the saved game, "seems corrupted or invalid", something like this. maybe some mods did this?
 
That particular error will also come up if you tried using someone else's save file and it was named with a slot number that you don't have your own save in. If that's the case then try renaming your save with 00 at the end which would be your autosave (assuming that is still valid.)

Also, the GPO unethical build will cause loading problems if you removed it and your save is still pointing to a new gang type from that mod.
 
i got some saved games lost because of GPO, my fault, but i had a half completed saved game which is lost now. I will try to change that savegame to autosave. If it works, you are a time saver, if not, thanks anyway. i just like what you all do for this game.
 
ok, changing the save file to autosave file didn't do a thing, the game seemed to have a backup for autosave, i will delete all corrupted saved games. i will start over. Sorry for troubling you.
 
Strange, i just got SRTT to update and my saved games are back.
 
That's the Steam Cloud for you. If you make sure Steam is snychronizing with the cloud, and SR3 is synching to the cloud, you won't have to worry about it. As long as it's doing so, if it comes up again you can probably delete the local cached copy of saves and it'll restore from the cloud fresh. Glad to hear you got them back.
 
I'm trying to install a save game from another user and it says the same message.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
I've tried everything.
