Crashes on start up after update

I have been trying to get help on steam, and have gotten no responses.
Can anyone help? I've done all the recommended steps, unless I've missed something , I've scoured the internet for help and nothing.
Volition with their update broke a game that was functioning before hand, one of my favorite games and I cannot launch it now. And it might be ok if I could get refunded for my broken purchase, but I can't so either I have a broken game or I figure out someway how to fix it

Can anyone help me fix it please, no one has responded on the steam page. Have the people at volition just abandoned the game , and the people who's games they've broken? Because that seems like some really messed up business practice.

Have you tried reinstalling the game? I am pretty sure steam would not charge you for reinstalling.
I reinstalled the game multiple times, nothing.
Restarted the game ,after reinstalling, nothing.
Changed the graphics card or whatever it was loading up on, nothing
Went into the files and changed the settings in that display file , nothing
uninstalled all mods, nothing
I zipped up all the error files and posted them up in the steam forum, no response.

After you uninstall it (before you reinstall), are there any files left in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Saints Row IV" folder where it was installed?
I'm trying to determine if there are any left-over files that may be causing problems even after you re-install.

Also, your saved games are stored in folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user_id>\206420\remote", where <user_id> is your Steam user ID (a number, probably 9 digits)). If this folder is corrupted somehow this may cause problems. I believe this folder is NOT deleted when you uninstall the game, since it contains your saved games. If there's a problem here, uninstalling the game will NOT fix the problem. This folder is also synced to the cloud.

The way to test the saved games folder is to FIRST: MAKE SURE STEAM IS OFFLINE, then copy the entire contents somewhere else safe, then delete it, then try to run the game. But make sure you save it before deleting it, because that contains all your saved games! If that doesn't work then copy the original folder back (or, I believe you can go online with Steam and it will restore it for you, but you'll have to verify that).

If you really want the gory details about the save directory, read this post.

Sometimes, but if there are I go into windows safe mode and delete them from the computer.

I will try the folder thing though, that is something I have no tried.

Thanks, got it to work. It was the folder, for whatever reason that was corrupted, just to be safe I deleted everything inside of it too. I don't mind starting the game over, I like the game.
