The game is crashing for me during the mission where you rescue Matt. It crashed the first time during the bike section and now crashes continuously during the beginning when you are using the 2d tank. Any known fix?

Well, this mission is causing a lot of trouble with pirated games but since you have the game on steam that can't be the problem.
But its not only pirated games with this problem, a lot of people with legal copies had problems with this mission as well.
I luckely didn't, but I did have 2 random crashes during my playthrough.
But its two days since you first posted, has this been fixed or not? If not perhaps you should wait for an official patch. If a lot of people are having problems with this mission you can be sure that Volition will look into this.
