Decrease VTOL health

Hey guys, I am a new SRTT player. I have just unlocked the VTOL (wink wink) and I would like to ask: Can you increase/decrease health? Whenever I crash into the ground I don't die. That's not realistic enough for me. I'm pretty sure it can be done. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
 
Wow.. if anything I'd love to be able to INCREASE the health on the VTOL. I'm sick of getting sniped by STAG troopers from across the city when I'm just hovering near the Crib...
 
Decrease its health? Wow, when one of those SWAT Tornado's shows up it has to fire its chain gun for 2 seconds at me and the VTOL is destroyed ^^

I see, it indeed can take a good hit. Pretty fun when you hit something and a part of one of the wings falls of and the VTOl is very hard to control ;p And I will try Royce his option, I'm sure that works ;)
