Disable weapons

How easy would it be to disable weapons, either for everyone or just for the player? I enjoy the badassery of assaulting coutless cops with my bare fists, but am dead tired of having to switch back to said fists over and again, since the game seems intent on making me use a gun.

Edit: Any chance you'd be able to make that one available for download in a non-compressed format? I really would rather not download 7zip or another free program.

You really want someone to do extra work just so you don't have to? For goodness sake, it's a small free app that's also needed for many other mods on this site.
 
7zip is free as in free open-source software. It's openly developed, has no spyware, doesn't try to spam you full of ads when it installs, doesn't try to change your homepages and plugins and everything. It also doesn't nag you and doesn't limit before you pay a dumb fee.
On top of that, it also beats all the other compression formats for efficiency in many cases (particularly some types of media and images). And if you don't want to use those, that's fine, it works with rars, zips, and so on as well.

Don't worry, it's ok to download it. I can understand "Awww, not ANOTHER damn app to install, I just want my mod!" but this one can replace all the other stuff like winzip and winrar and so on.
 
Not to mention that it's part of our forum rules for releases to be compressed. It's not an optional thing.
