Do you guys know any neat horror movie ?

Yeah, horror films these days are just boring aswell, so I don't even waste my time watching them. But I was wondering if you guys know about any horror movie, recent or not, that could really be horrifying and entertaining aswell. I'll be appreciated.

Cabin in the Woods is fantastic. Make sure to go in cold. Don't watch any trailers or read anything about it. :)

I've already watched it, and I gotta tell you it was amazing. :)

Tucker and Dale vs Evil was pretty great, though more of a comedy. John Dies at the End (where my avatar is from) is awesome if you like freaky surreal stuff plus comedy.

I'm not going to watch any trailers, because I don't want to be spoiled. And for a dude who likes Cabin in The Woods, of course I like feaky surreal stuff plus comedy.:D
I've heard some great things about Tucker and Dale vs Evil, so I guess I'll start with that one.
Thanks for the help mate. ;)

The Evil Dead remake was pretty good too, IMO.

Ooh, that movie seems pretty nice, is it really scary ? Or is it just two hours of boredom ?

  1. Perfect for the shitty "Christmas in July" gimmick: The 1974 slasher classic, Black Christmas (Don't bother with the shitty 2006 remake, its Platinum Dunes remake bad).
  2. The ever ridiculous as all frozen hell, Jack Frost (Made in 1997, it was made the same year as the kid's movie by the same name).
  3. Though this one's more of a thriller than a horror flick, I'd recommend the 1989 Wes Craven underrated classic, Shocker (Think of Craven's "Nightmare" concept but with electricity and possessions instead of dreams, and the soundtrack kicks ass).
  4. Killer Clowns from Outer Space, made in 1988, need I make an explanation for this one?
  5. If you want a movie that'll make you swear off yogurt and ice cream for a week, I'd recommend The Stuff (1985; Think of The Ooze, but edible).
  6. I'd also recommend almost any movie made by Full Moon Entertainment: Demonic Toys, Puppet Master Series, and Gingerdead Man, just to name a few (seriously, visit their site, they have a shitton of B-movie goodness).
  7. Lastly, I know this is a full length series but it is a great suspense series, it is still going on, it is on Youtube, and it got praise by the late Roger Ebert himself: Marble Hornets (Centered around the Slender Man mythos, this series brought forward most of the mythology and ideas people use for Slendy now, and the makers of this series wrote and helped design "Slender: The Eight Pages" and "Slender: The Arrival" games).

I adore Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and The Stuff. :)

Try Videodrome. Bizarre as shit but I think it is such a good movie. Also try the Phantasm movies. I've met people who either love or hate these movies, but I really like them. They can be a tad cheesy at times, but I still say check them out. Bubba Ho-Tep is another horror-comedy to check out. From the same director of Phantasm and John Dies at the End. The movie is a about Elvis and JFK fending off their nursing home from a soul-sucking mummy. I shit you not, that is the plot of the movie. Bruce Campbell is in it, fun stuff. Oh and if you're interested, try checking out European horror. Namely an actor named Paul Naschy. He did a shit-ton of werewolf movies and a ton of other horror movies. Look through his filmography. His movies have plenty of Gothic settings, tits, and blood. Good stuff. That's all I have now. I'll post anything else I think of.
