Draw distance and fps driving views

I've noticed the draw distance is very low in srtt. When using the first person mod that allows you to be inside cars while driving, the popup is horrible. I have a fairly powerful computer and can run everything on their highest settings without any issues, so I don't think its my PC. I was wondering if there is any mod or .ini file I can edit to make the draw distance much further.

Also, I was using that fps mod, and added a mods that made cars and jets faster, which seemed to overwrite the fps view mod. Is there a way to run both of them without having them conflict?

maybe if I edit the cars stats manually?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial on editing car stats?

Thanks for your help guys

All of the draw distance stuff is handled internally in the exe. There is no way to change it outside of the in-game menu options.

Winmerge will let you easily merge mods together by highlighting the differences in the files and letting you copy sections back and forth. The guides and tutorials subforum has a thread dedicated to it with links.

EDIT:
Oops. It was in the tools subforum

Thank you for the response. I've heard of Winmerge before, sounds like a really useful program.

And I know most people are just using mods to change stats on vehicles, but there are many that haven't been changed.
I love how the Torch handles and looks, but I want to make it a bit faster.
I'm assuming SRTT uses .ini files with that info in it, and that I can just edit it, I just don't know what file it would be in.
Do you know of any tutorial that would help me with this?
Or can you just point me to the file I'm looking for?
I"m sure I can figure out the proper settings for the car once I'm looking at the text.

Thanks again

Would it be in misc_tables.vpp_pc ??

And since thats and archive, would you know which file in misc_tables.vpp_pc has the Torch settings?

Check out the guides and tutorials subforum. There's a stickied modding basics guide on how to start. There is also a vehicle list thread from user452 which has the game file names for all the vehicles.

Yea, I read the basics guide, so I understand the different file types and all.

And thanks, I'll see if I can find user452's post.
