Ethical Question???

I have Saints Row the Third for Steam, and as I recently got laptops for school (we are allowed to play games , but steam is blocked) I was wondering if you would be ok with me Torrenting a copy for my External Hard drive to take to school, and if so, how I would be able to install mods on it?
Thanks in advance.

Your best bet would be to install Steam, then install the games you want to play and then switch Steam to offline mode.

Thanks for the help, I tried that but the school security policy detected steam and shut it down, and I know that it allows games because I have several games that I downloaded externally of steam such as gunpoint and Amnesia (using GoG.com) that worked perfectly fine, sadly our security policy blocks steam.

No the issue is that the school has installed a sophos anti virus which specifically blocks steam, even if running off an external hard drive, and even at home.

What the hell kind of school does that? How old are you?

school sucks. trust me. i think we all hate school security on computers. :<

I agree with that, my college decided to block off all the games related website. Somehow this is the only site they miss.
