It's crashing all the time, it freezes alot, I have somewhat low FPS. And it's all just recently. I have a retail/legal version (pirates are just stupid). I don't know what's going on. Is it because of mods? This is very irritating. It happens alot when I go into the phone menue twice. I don't know why but the past few times I started the game, I go into the phone menu once and all is fine, I go in there twice and it freezes.

i had that fps problem before updating to the drivers and after updating , the game is smooth maxed out at 720p... and also try not to run any applications other than saints row when you play it , it might help to smooth up the game ... if none of these steps work try lowering the settings to low ...
My settings are low. It's my specs anyway, but the fps is reasonable. But the real problem is how unstable it is.

It sounds like it could be a mod problem, yes. The game freezing when you open a menu is a common symptom of having an incompatible asm_pc file or a bug in a lua script. But usually that happens the first time, not the second. Start by removing all mods and seeing if it happens in vanilla, then either add them one at a time, or add them all and remove them one at a time, until the problem goes away. Process of elimination.
That's what is weird: It occasionally freezes. So I have no idea. I've never installed .asm_pcs before, I've only done .xtbls. But I will try what you said
