If you run the batch file installer again, it will remember all the options you set. Go look and see. If you did, then disable it and then build a new patch.
 
I got sr2 from steam, and when I go to play it everything is sped up. I think I remember seeing something about a speed limiter in gotr, but I cannot remember where, if I did at all. Is there such a feature, and are there instructions on how to use it (such as a readme or other such documentation)?

In it find idolninjas link to his Steam FAQ on SR2 and in that you will find info I believe on where Powertools is located plus info on how to use it best.

On my system it was not needed but I did test it out to see if it made a difference that I could notice.
Just depends on the system it appears.

Be sure to run the game windowed, I found that helped stability IMMENSELY. Save often and keep a small heap of saves just in case.
Far more stable that way for me vs full screen, plus of course the GotR pack which fixes a good number of issues.

As I was looking the steam thread over I found something that may, or may not, need to be taken into consideration.
IMPORTANT! Many players have reported that the speedup bug is now fixed with Windows 8, and Minimaul confirmed it as well on his test box! DO NOT USE POWERTOOLS OR CHEAT ENGINE IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 8!

I'm not sure what to make of this since I am running windows 8 and still seem to have this problem.

Then use it. It seems that most people on Win 8 are fine without the speedup, and a few still have it. Powertools can still be used with Win8 to fix the bug though.
 
Hello. So I just got GotR, installed it, chose "my patch". Everything seems to work except for the sound. And for some reason the language of the game changed from English to Swedish. Which is strange since the computer itself and it's interface is in English.

Does anyone one know what the issue is?
