Not yet. That is changing in the near future though, now that Volition is sharing engine information and support. The first things to come out of it will likely be new/modified character customization options and clothing.

Would that eventually be possible to extract custom character models? Like if I wanted my Avatar on Garrys Mod or something? lol

No, they are located in the savefile. You maybe could extract characters like Gat.
