having problems with the belgian problem

whenever I get to the check point where the ball is dropping the game doesn't even give me time enough to kill the brute before he knocks me off..

is there anything I can do or is there a Mod I can use to get by this?

What weapon do you use to fend off the brute? And has the weapon been -fully- upgraded or not? Since I cheat a lot, I always have a fully upgraded weapon to deal with this brute. Perhap the weapon you are using in this situation is not powerful enough to deal with this particular brute in the alotted time?

This is an issue for players on low end hardware and sub 20fps. You can try lowering your resolution/settings, using the goldengun cheat to one shot the brute, have a friend host the mission who is on a decent PC and you join as client, or use the m06 fix that Corrodias released and attached to the troubleshooting FAQ:

Lower the screen resolution temporarily and framerate doubles and game acts correctly. I had same problem on a high end computer and that solved it
