I try everything said on steam forums and the SR website official etc.
So. I installed it etc. I try to press play either nothing happens or if it does the Direct 11 thing is an option or Direct9X I press on the first time Direct 11 runs ok I guess freezes with lag but at least the menuI can access. However when I press 9 it jsut says Error with program and to close it. I update all my drivers everything. Nothing happens and for 3 days straight with no sleep I have been trying to play the game with either nothing happens like a Magikarp Splash move or I get an error I heard about the Steelbook mod thing
I have no idea what the hell the directions are telling me to do since I suck with PCs. I just want to play SRTT so anyone can help thanks.
 
no. Nothing works. I have so much trouble trying to run the thing on it's own so whenI look up ways to fix it I found the GEntleman Steelbook mod which didn't do anything.
 
No, mods aren't going to make the game run if it can't run on its own.

So, is this an accurate summary of the problem?
1) When launching the game in DirectX 9 mode, it immediately crashes with an error.
2) When launching the game in DirectX 11 mode, it runs, but it has poor performance.

What's the error, in situation 1? What things have you tried to fix it, such as, "delete local content" for the game and re-install? What are your computer's specs?
 
Number one is what happens but number 2 it doesn't even startit just does nothing......it only worked once and it was fine until the campaign thing started the vid was weird and laggy and nothing happened.

Ihave done the reinstallation verified the integrity of the game cache so far and this other weird method that didn't do anything.

I have Razer Boost on as well too btw.

it just says that the game can't start or whatever, I have no idea what my PCs Specs are but it is a 2011 HP G56 laptop and yes I have tried it without Razer. I can play The second option now but it's really really faulty, andtoo much lag.
