Infinite loading screen issue

Hey,

I decided to play SR3 again, so I installed it again, got some mods, went to play, and everything was fine up until the character creation screen, where I couldn't see my character. I started the game anyways to see what would happen, and my character had black skin (missing textures I think). Normally in SR4, this is the type of problem the stream2update.exe tool would fix, so I looked for an equivalent and found this:

However after I used it now I can't even load my game again, I get to the main menu, and then it's an infinite loading screen if I try to load the game. What can I do? Is there another tool I should be using that I missed? Thanks.
 
Err... no I haven't, I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove everything and start over again. Is that really my best option?
 
Yeah so I uninstalled it and installed again, and without any mods it works fine, so obviously something went wrong before. I'm still wondering though, is there a tool for SR3 similar to stream2update.exe for SR4 that makes files like .asm_pc and .str2_pc work properly? Because I know for SR4 I've had similar issues in the past with the game not loading after adding a new mod, and that .exe file always fixed it.
 
Yup, everything works fine until I try to install JediDave's customization mod. Put my two GoS patch files in the patch folder, other mods in the character mod folder, but once I use the files generated by the mod, the game doesn't work.
 
Wow, I have the EXACT same thing, only the rest of my mods appear to work fine except for the JediDave mod.
A real shame because that was my favourite one, I hope someone knows how to fix this!
 
Yeah, did you add a mod file customize_player.asm_pc? Because if you have that file, remove it, I found out afterwards in the FAQ that you don't want that file with that mod because the mod has one of it's own.

Yes I did, later I asked at the JediDave's customization mod's forum and they told me this:

Don't know if you already got yours working, otherwise you should take a look at this, for me it worked!
