Well, there are different things to do depending on whether you decided to pick the clean "patch" style installation, or the "dirty" installation. If you picked the patch style, go to your SRTT folder (in steam/steamapps/common/) and navigate to .../saints row the third/packfiles/pc/cache/ and rename the files "patch_compressed.vpp_pc" and "patch_uncompressed.vpp_pc" so you can revert to the vanilla game just in case. Then drag the files into the cache folder, and voila.
If you did the "dirty" installation, just drag them into the root SRTT folder (the one with the actual game .exe's in the folder) and it should work. Most mods will follow this form of installation (at least from what I've experienced).
umm,i installed SRTT in some other directory (G:\Gaming Area\Saints Row The Third) and not "Program Files (x86)". I have a patch, nude patch to be precise with those 3 files customize_player.vpp_pc, shaders.vpp_pc, misc_tables.vpp_pc . . according to instructions,it shud be placed in "/packfiles/pc/cache" ... but its not working. .
Can u help ?? thank you . .
So I have the steam version of SRTT. I unzipped the GoS mod and followed the directions. But when I run the "Creath_Custom_GoS_v1" file, I eventually get a message saying "WARNING - MY_CUSTOM_PATCH folder doesn't exist." Asks me if I forgot to extract the whole archive. I did extract everything. I'm pretty lost right about now lol.. Help if you can. )
