I have this game on PS3 and PC.

I found that on the console (PS3) version that if you get the health upgrades you WILL NOT DIE when your vehicle explodes, you will simply be thrown out of the wreckage.

YET on the PC version you will always die when your vehicle is destroyed.
When I first ran the game I never had this problem and have reinstalled twice
and deleted all files etc etc, yet to no avail.

I think this could be due to a DLC or a Steam Update as I have uninstalled and deleted all files but steam requires that I update the game before I can play it.

I did not find the answer in the tweak_table.xtbl file

If any one has solved the issue or could steer me in a general direction so I an fix the problem Myself the help would be much appreciated.

P.S there is at least one other person on this site that has the same problem, but he asked for a mod because he did not realize this was a glitch.
 
I'm not sure how to fix the issue, but it has always been that way with the PC version. It was not an update or dlc that changed it.
 
Hmmm.... ...I was almost certain it was not a problem until I downloaded some DLCs then uninstalled then reinstalled, then I had that "Steam updating game" message.

Oh well, I guess Ill have to keep trying.
I may yet stumble across the answer in my travels.
