I think I know how to do this so I'll post my instructions...
1: get any clothing item which you can change the colour of
2: open up that particular clothing item's texture in a program that allows you to edit it [eg: paint.net and photo shop]
3: the texture's colour should have a transparent look to them, use the colour picker tool to pick the transparent colour.
4: open up the iron Saints texture in the same program you used for step 3
5: use the transparent colour you got in,step 3 to change the colour of the iron Saints texture.
The iron Saint armour is now compatible with colour changing. Now all we have to do is add the option to change its colour ingame (which may be a little trickier) but hey, we got the first half done!
