Is it possible to just shoot while your homies are driving?

Hi, I'm having some trouble with SR2. I want to shoot while the npc is driving, I was able to make it work by entering the passenger seat, but it doesn't always work. Is there another way to force it?

Don't know about that. I do know the best way to shoot while driving is to engage cruise control first.

From what I know is that it's only possible with certain missions and the Drug Trafficking activity

To add to my post I also suggest enabling sticky camera in GotR. I use it with my controller.

No, it does happen randomly from time to time.
