Without replacing any Main Characters within the game, could Johnny Gat replace one of the generic Saints models that appears in most of the cutscenes?
Just so it feels like he's still included. Because having a Johnny Gat Homie mod was not as thrilling as I thought it would be. Especially since specific missions don't allow you to call up homies during gameplay.
And having to save and exit after every mission, to bypass the Homie cool-down timer kinda sucks too.
"Why can't you just accept that Johnny Gat will never appear in more than 3 missions throughout SRTT?" Because he's always played a main supporting role alongside Playa.
Yes he does return in SRIV, but the open world city is nothing more than a hollowed-out shell of disappointingly generic buildings and Alien Towers that pretty much enforce the use of super powers to be able to climb them.
At least in SRTT there are a few enter-able buildings to explore that are not Cribs or Stores. Where roads and sidewalks still serve a purpose, aircraft is the only way to fly, and enemies exist in more than one faction.
So all I'm looking for, is a mod that replaces the most frequently used Generic Saint within cutscenes with Johnny Gat.
That way I can see him during cutscenes and just whistle him over during gameplay.
(As a bonus, I wouldn't mind the same thing done with Lin, Donnie, Julius and Aisha "If possible")
I know this type of thing exists as a small part of compilation mods, but I'm trying to keep the game as close to default as I can. I already destroyed Saints Row IV with mods that overlapped each other and added an extreme amount of content alongside the default stuff.
I had to wipe everything and start from scratch... Multiple times. So I decided to stick to the bare minimum to keep the game in a playable condition. I will not make the same mistake with SRTT... Again.
So just a simple mod as described above is all I'm looking for. Please?

Yes, I do realise that during the Trojan Whores mission, Gat may appear in the background dancing as Shaundi says: "Johnny's dead and you're throwing a f****** party?" But I'm willing to let that slide for ironic value.
