whenever i try to install mods and play the game, it just crashes. Please help

iI have steam version and was trying to use first person mod

I think it would be best to look in that mod's thread for information about why it might be crashing, and if there isn't any, then post there asking for advice. You might want to include a screenshot of your SR4 folder so that we can see that the mod is properly installed.
