More aggressive Gangs and Feds.

Hey guys, EasyTiger here again I certainly hope you guys don't limit requests, because I had another one occur to me while roaming around Steelport. I think it would be very cool if Cops and Gang members opened fire on each other on sight, rather than waiting for one to provoke the other into attack. It's grown bothersome to me that the player is the only one in the game (aside from the rare Genki spawn.) who will purposely start shit in the game, every gun fight not started by the player is either pre-scripted or started by sheer accident. Aren't the any other gang members or cops out there that want to take the fight to the enemy, rather than just ignore them in broad daylight? I think it would add some serious life and depth to the city, but it's just an idea, so thanks to any modders who consider it.

I actually already use your mod Shitface, it's by far my favorite on the site, in fact it's what sparked my idea to begin with, because while the battles and fighting are much more common with your mod, it does not appear that the gangs, the police, or the saints open fire on each other on sight without any egging on by the player, it still appears to take some form of provocation in order to get them to shoot. See I'm looking to make it to where cops and gangs always shoot each other on sight, no questions asked. Or at the very least making it to where they always shoot at the player on sight, I'm no programmer, but if their was a way to force the entire map into a restricted area, or something to force the player to always have at least one star with both the gangs and the police, it could produce these results. I'd prefer them to be perpetually hostile towards each other, but I'd settle for perpetual hostility towards the player. Anyway, if it can't be done I'll probably just stick with your mod Shitface.

Gangs and police will attack each other on sight with my mod, but it doesn't happen that often. If you want to increase this, open up ai_personalities.xtbl and increase the <attack_unfriendly> value for gang normal, gang defensive, gang offensive, police normal, police defensive, police offensive or whichever other ai personality you want to edit. You can see which personalities an NPC will use by looking in spawn_info_ranks.xtbl. The higher the value you use, the more likely an NPC will be to attack an enemy on sight. 100 is the largest number you can use.

Awesome, thanks for the info shitface, I can give it a go myself now. ;)

Edit: Gave it my best shot, upped attack unfriendly too 100 on all fronts, but there was no apparent change in behavior, maybe immediate attack is just beyond the sandbox ai package.
