Need help with a mission breaking heli glitch

I'm unable to complete "Ho Boat" due to my heli crashing into Pierce's every time. This didn't happen the one time I tried the mission before now on a prior playthrough. As far as I can tell I have no heli mods in use atm, I was using Hobbs heli mod but I removed it in hopes of fixing this problem. Both playthroughs have used the last release of GoS. The only changes between the 2 is my current having a few wep mods merged into GoS.
 
Are you certain that you didn't install the mod in GoS that converts helis into boats so you can customize them? If so, that needs to be removed after customizing so they work correctly again. An easy way to check is if you can still access your helis at a crib helipad or if they are only at the boat docks.
 
I'm pretty sure I never got around to using that one as I get kicked out of heli customization every time I try to customize at the crib. Only boats show up at my dock.
 
How many times have you tried the mission? I know that mission 3 "we need bigger guns" on rails with the heli is a problem for some players where the heli either gets stuck or crashes into other ones. It's probably due to bad pathfinding. In addition to reading about it on forums, I've personally had that happen once. A restart of the game and retry fixed it though.

If it's a constant repeatable issue then the only thing I can think of would be to remove all mods and revert to vanilla and see if fixes it. Then reintroduce each mod one at a time to isolate the cause.
 
I've tried it twice from the beginning and i've retried from the checkpoint about 6 times. The worst heli glitch I had before this was my heli barrel rolling during Kenzie's guardian angel mish but that was a one time thing on my old playthrough. I guess i'll try it a few more times when i'm less annoyed.
