NEED SOME HELP.

I dun goofed.
I was screwing around with stuff in the Cache folder and i wanted to delete a mod that screwed the game up but i deleted the wrong file and because i run Windows 8 i wasn't prompted with a "Are you sure?" message so it went to the Recycle bin automatically.
I then rummaged through my recycle bin only to find old mod files and a whole lot of other stuff which i tried (out of desperation) to jam back into the Cache folder causing a massive clusterfuck of half modded files and half vanilla files and i have no idea what's what and now the game freezes on the first loading screen after the main menu.
It might be impossible to save it at this point (reinstall helped nothing) but i was wondering if somebody would be able to make a .rar or whatever with a working Cache folder in it (don't care if it's got mods, no mods would be preferable but i don't care as long as it works).
Only problem i could think of is possible legal issues with re-distributing that stuff but i figured i'd at least ask about it.
 
Open Steam, select SRTT, right click on the mouse and select properties. Then go to the local files tab and click on verify integrity of local files.
 
Thanks for he help but it still freezes on the first loading screen.
It just loads infinitely.
EDIT: Tried loading my save from the Campaign option and when i click "Load save" the game crashes instantly.
 
Are you using the steam version of the game? If you verify the integrity of the cache there shouldn't be any problem.

Does the game work with a new game?
 
Try to manually remove misc_tables , preload_anim, preload_items, preload_effects, patch_compressed, patch_uncompressed from the cache. Since you're there remove everything from the root folder (except, of course, the folders). And then verify the cache again.
 
If the problem ins't in the installation folder, maybe there's something in the userdata folder. Make a backup of the "\55230" folder that you find in the userdata and delete the original. Start a new game and see if that works.
