no hud cheat

So, my friend and I just downloaded the More Mods Modification by Flynn, and it works great. And the nohud cheat works fine in SP. But as soon as we try to use it in MP, it tells us we can't. The thing is though, one of us can turn it on is SP, then have the other person join and the hud stays off for that person, but not for the other. And this other person still can not deactivate the hud with the cheat. This is, as you can imagine, frustrating, as it appears possible but not currently the way the game wants to recognize the cheat... Any suggestions? We REALLY want to get this to work

PS: There is a thread identical to this one in mod requests, but I realize that more people may be able to help from here as well.

Sounds like it might be related to the similar issue with not being able to use the zombie or mascot cheat in coop as well. Unfortunately, all of the cheats are transparent and we can't do any kind of troubleshooting or configuration outside of just enabling additional types of cheats using the existing unused elements (of which nohud was one.)
