Would you please show us exactly what you edited in the character.xtbl file and other files to get those purple claded clowns off the streets but still remaining within the crib.

There are three options (probably even more if I think about it):
First option is no saints on the streets and no saints in the crib but a normal enviroment.
Second option is no saints on the streets but still saints in the crib but this makes all traffic and pedestrians dissapear.
The first option:
I replaced the saints character files from the character.xtbl with the lines from the Decker soldiers which made the Saints completely dissapear without any crash problems. Then I gave these characters the skins of the saints so that during mission they still show up properly and saints backup also should still work like it should.
If it doesn't well, I have done it again differently by replacing all space saints with the normal saints and then edited the homies.xtbl file to make the saints backup and others like vehicle delivery which require saints soldiers to spawn with space saints.
But thats already a long time ago as you can see ^^ I think it can be much easier done. I have seen a flag in the script line of the Saints characters which said 'Spawnable Saint', so maybe if we change that with 'Non Ambiently Spawnable' they will no longer spawn since all characters which don't randomly spawn on the streets use this flag.
The second option:
In the spawn_info_categories.xtbl file just add the flag '<Flag>Law Spawning Area</Flag>' in the flag section at each district. But like I said, with this flag their will be no traffic and pedestrains so I don't use this.
The third option:
I still need to try this out, but I would use a save game editor, perhaps the one from Corridas and give in each district one neighbourhood back to the enemy gangs, because to make Saints spawn on the street each neighbourhood from the specific district must be owned by the Saints. Do make a backup of you savegames offcoarse

If you don't want the enemy gangs to spawn in this enemy gang controlled zone just add the flag <Flag>No Enemy Gang Spawning</Flag> at each district in the spawn_info_categories.xtbl.
Perhaps I will upload mine but mine has some more side effects like no more gimps suits, strippers and mascots spawning in the streets (except for some saints energy drink mascots at the planet saints, etc... but I don't care about those), but I can always make a new one.
