No Shadows

Does anyone know how to remove shadows completely? when shadows are turned off in the display settings they are still in game.
could there be a mod to remove all shadows?

Well sense your new do you own the steam version ???and why would you want to turn the shadows off there's nothing wrong with them there fine.

wow! actual replies. thanks for responding...

-yes i have the steam version.
-the shadows in the game are fine. there is no need to turn them off, unless you are making a mod and need to see some details that shadows cover in-game.
-yes i realize that there is a model viewer but its way to complicated for me. i would rather load the game to see what my changes look like.
-also in the options - display settings, there is the option to turn shadows off. but for some reason there is still ambient effects that cause shadows to appear.

i am sure there is an .xtbl file that i could mess with to get more of an "all bright" or "lambert effect". i cant find it though...

there is a file with the .exe :
display.ini
try changing this file and also turn off Ambient Occlusion

yes. turning off ao worked. i feel silly for not thinking of that. thanks.
i find that the lighting is still dark and dreary. i would still like to mess with a .xtbl file that controls the light brightness and how it effects objects. maybe even make it look like a nice sunny day.

The lighting is mostly controlled by the "time of day" files, which end in ".todx". Here's a tweaked day_tod_override, which isn't an option on the menu; it's named to replace "classic", but you can rename it to replace any you like (if you find the list). I altered it to reduce fog.

You can see screenshots of them here. http://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/tod-override-screenshots.5496
