Overlaying same category clothing items.

Would something like ovarlaying clothes from the same category be possible without use of an SDK?

Let's say I want to use the big dress which is open from front and back, and add a jacket or a fluffy coat over it.
It would definitely look pretty nice and I've even made some artwork of my character with an outfit like that.
