Purple Hounfor.
If you take the Hounfor to Rim Jobs or Semi Broken You can change a few things
A couple of trim colors, the interior color and the window tint. But there are
a couple of items that I haven't figured out how to get to show up in the Rim Jobs
paint menu yet. Like Body Color.
I have removed the No Customization flag from the _veh file.
and I have made sure that the option is buyable in the
_cust file but it refuses to show up. At any rate I can still show you how to
change the body color, but be warned. It is by the use of a decal which means that
all versions of the Hounfor (the original and any other variants you might create) will show up the color of that decal.
If you were to replace another car with the Hounfor that would mean creating another set of files. You could color the decals in those files to suit you.
After using Masamaru's peg tool to extract the dcl_sos_hearse_hood.tga_0.png and
dcl_sos_hearse_side01.tga_0.png files then you can use either Irfanview or Mspaint,
or your preferred program to edit them. All you want to do is use the fill tool on
the black background around the white etchings. Once it fills in with the new color
save the files. (make sure they are in png format and they have the same file name
as they started out with) Do this on both pictures. then use the pegtool to rebuild
the archives.
If you are using GOTR then you can go to the Volition Gift Shop and purchase the car.
If you are playing vanilla you'll have to wait until you can steal it from the General, or
use the replay trick to get it if the mission is already completed.
I am including the recoloured decal files from the peg and texture files as well as the
modded versions of the peg and textures themselves.
Note: The recoloured photos are a different shade of purple than the in game picture.
The In game photo is the correct color.
Also if you take the vehicle to a Rim Jobs and toggle decal 2 on and off it will change the
Vehicle color slightly.
To install drop the peg_pc and g_peg_pc files in your mods directory and recompile.
To uninstall take them out of your mods directory and recompile
