Site and community appreciation

I just wanted to say how appreciative I am of this site and the Saints Row community. This series has been my favorite games for years regardless of the amount of other games I've bought or played throughout that time. I am not saying Saints Row would have gotten stale without support and mods (as I absolutely love the games), but I am sure the support and mods have increased the longevity and funfactor for me by quite a bit. This site in combination with the official site community character download/upload being functional make the games feel almost new again.

The modding community in general is terrific and very helpful and patient. This in tandem with the moderators keeping the site free from trolls and unnecessarily rude comments make it a rare forums where you can just get info or files or chat and not feel like you are going to get attacked or into a argument (rare for the internet). I don't post much and usually just lurk and take files but I read a lot and the mod makers/everyone else are so helpful always answering questions.

Anyways I don't intend this thread to sound ass-kissy, but I've downloaded tons of files and learned quite a bit here, and I don't have much to give back except a big thanks to let you know your work is very much appreciated.

You know, I think everybody is feeling the same, including me . You won't sound ass-kissy . This forum is unique and that's why I'm always here . The first day, when I started to make mods, everybody was helpful when answering my questions and I learned a lot too . I got to work with some much better makers than me . So you're not the only one that just want to say thanks ;)

This topic was a great idea, and I'd like to add my appreciation too. And no, it's not ass-kissy to express appreciation. I think it's probably not done enough and I'm as guilty as anyone else.

First, to Minimaul, without whom this site wouldn't exist and be such a success. He maintains this site with a level of professionalism that has attracted and encouraged participation by Volition team members while still allowing modders the freedom that an "official" corporate forum probably wouldn't be able to. I think that's what makes it such a success. Volition needs to make money so they can keep making new games like this, and this forum encourages the creation of mods that add value to the games but don't attempt to get stuff for free. By following a few very reasonable rules, everyone is happy, and we get some amazing mods! I can say, for tools and mods I have worked on, I wouldn't have been able to accomplish nearly so much without help from Volition (particularly Knobby), so by running the forum this way we get more cool mods! And, without Minimaul's Tools, most of the mods here wouldn't have even been possible. I'm a programmer, and I can see how much work went into those tools, and it's A LOT!

So, thank you Minimaul! The amount of time and effort you have put into this forum and tools is very much appreciated!!! :)

And there are so many amazing modders here who have provided such a wealth of ideas and information, I can't begin to go through the list. I feel like I should, but I don't want this to sound like an award show or something. :D Volition has even recognized some of their efforts and abilities formally, and that, in itself, it quite a statement right there!

Thanks everyone! And now I think it's time to play How the Saints Save Christmas, just because it's that time of year!
