Skip the logo screen at the beginning if it's not loading in the background

This is the screen I'm talking about.

All the logos before it can be instantly skipped by pressing Escape, as it should be, but for some reason this one can't be skipped. If it's loading in the background while that's up, I don't have a problem with it, but if it waits until that screen goes away to start loading, then I'd like it if someone could remove this screen, or at least make it skippable.

If it's not possible to mod, I'll ask someone to move this to the Patch Requests forum.

I hate that screen so much.

That screen is loaded as part of the Executable and is there for Legal purposes.
It needs to be there and you most likely will not be able to remove it without some sort of patch.

They didn't have to make it last so long. Well, maybe they did; i don't know the terms of the contracts. But when you're launching the game 50 times in a day for modding, a few seconds of pointless delays adds up.

It would be nice to get an answer from Volition about this. Even if they're required to put the screen there, maybe they could at least make a patch that puts it somewhere that can be more easily modded. Why wouldn't they be allowed to let you skip it?

(Does it at least load during that screen?)
