So Australia

Seems right and proper fucked on their version. I mean a weapon that you couldn't keep normally anyway wasn't THAT bad, and changing a drug reference to something else is also tiny.

But now they're removing entire missions, and region locking Australia from the rest of the world. I know this isn't Volition or Steam's fault or anything, which is why I wanted to ask this question.

What would the legality be on making mods specifically to get around the bullshit restrictions placed on the Australia version? I don't even live in Australia and this situation makes me livid. I'd love if someone could confirm whether or not it'd be okay to discuss, and work towards removing those changes for the fans who live there.

Just a thought, and now here's another one because I don't want to make 2 threads. Has it been confirmed anywhere if the game will be able to be pre-loaded? I'm REALLY eager to get in and don't want to miss several hours downloading a huge game ;_;

Too late, there's already a few threads on the Australian version.

Our Classification Board is fucked. At the start of 2013 we got and R18+ rating for video games (the highest rating) So we can play games without having to worry about a tonne of children. When Saints Row 4 became Refused Classification , everyone was like "WTF why don't they giving an R18+ rating?" Eventually they rated it MA15+, meaning they totally neglected the R18+ rating we fought so hard for, and KEPT THE FUCKING ANAL PROBE AS DLC (Which promotes sexual assault, one problem we have IN REAL LIFE) and completely removed one loyalty mission where you use NOT REAL drugs to gain super powers.

Oh and if you were wondering the Australian Classification Board are all around the age of 70 years old. MYTH BUSTED!

We will not allow any mods that circumvent Australian law, nor discussions on how to technically achieve such a thing.

Having said that, we are allowing the discussion of the situation itself. I'm going to lock this particular thread, but feel free to use one of the existing Australian release threads to discuss.
