Spline Based Procedural Modeling in “Agents of Mayhem”

Hurray! Volition is writing publications again!!! They haven't written any publications since 2014, and their past publications were always very interesting to me as a modder. I learned a lot from them. I'm so happy to see some new ones!

If you've ever wanted a good look at Volition's "World Editor", here are some great videos showing how they used it to build Agents of Mayhem. The "World Editor" is the tool that Volition uses internally to build their open world. I've always wished we could have access to that tool, and especially after I saw these videos:

Volition has always been a leader in the field of computer game technology (Geo-Mod 2.0, customizations, etc.), and it's great that they share these presentations for the benefit of others. :)

Interesting stuff, SR3 GDC was one of my favorites, lection rendering transparency will be interesting I guess.
