Splitting Suits into Individual Pieces of Clothing?

I was disappointed by the Warrior Pack DLC because you were forced to wear the entire Knight armor rather than specific pieces; for example, I would've liked to just wear the gloves/gauntlets. I know there are other suits in the game that work similarly, but this one just comes to mind.

I was wondering if these suits are programmed to be one piece, or if you can actually access each individual piece such as shirt, shoes, gloves, etc and wear them with other clothing.
 
they are suits besides why would you want to run around with only the knight legs or what. i see no reason. i think volition just wanted to do the easy thing so they didnt have to split it up like you want. i dont know if its doable i have no skill in modding
 
As a separate mesh that is gauntlets or whatever part only - it is not possible at the moment.
Technically, obscuring VIDs may give the desired result, similar to how IdolNinja made a toilet with legs, but I expect a whole bunch of glitches and other issues following such an edit.
