SRV Ideas thread.

So, probably after, or when almostly done with SR:GOOH, the people at Volition will probably start on SRV, since some of them are still active every now and then on the forums, let's try and get some ideas, hm?

Well here are my ideas. For the story the Saints use the time machine to go back in time and kill Zinyak before the Zin invasion even begins thus saving the world. However this creates another reality where the Saints were betrayed by Ultor, Monica Hughes becomes the president instead of the Boss and revives STAG, some of the Saint lieutenats that died are still alive and six new gangs control Stilwater and a heavily modified Steelport. (If you're wondering how it works there would be three gangs in Stilwater and three gangs in Steelport). In terms of gameplay it would be similar to SR3, with the character customization of SR2 and an improve weapon custimization feature. For activities I think they should bring back FUZZ, Septic Avenger, Mayhem (normal, tank and mech), Fight Club, Heli Assault, Hitman, Chopshop and either Saints of Rage or Zombie Uprising. Finally as a bonus for completing the game you can use the powers from SR4 via a toggeble upgrade

I'll pass the "hey, we found a new planet" or "Hey, we found a Turdis to travel in time thanks to the flush" either the: "Hey, we found a Eistein-Rosen bridge! Let's enter the vortex to meet that new parallel world! SLIIIIDE!!!"
I'm not sure they will listen to me as i know my ideas maybe are unethical. But i would also (non only) like to see a framework plot speaking about a dangerous and frightening gang. Something which could make us think "wow... this time they are powerless. It's a really big danger above their head."
I don't think we need to hear about the past and the missed good things Volition created (even if i really appreciate the fact that we'll see some things back for GOH), but i think we need a new charismatic villain. I like SRTT and SRIV but Zyniac and Killbane are so irritating that i want to slap their face (i mean... i would not fear them if we met. ... Which i hope not because i'm frail and they are muscular).
Anyway, i'm speaking about something like a guru or a mafia leader which does organ's human trafficking. I know it sounds horrible, but if someone does such a thing to the citizens, you only just want to beat him/her. Especially if one of your gang members is close to be the victim at his turn (randomly... let's say... Shaundi! She hold the record of kidnappings.)
Guru would also make his gang of citizens dangerous and/or naïve.
Because Saints Row is also about fun, i think having a fairground team could be nice (So that we would have a nice amusement park and tons of strange people).
I also think it could be nice having a mole as a new gang member. I'm not sure about the meaning in america... so i'll explain! It's someone who spy to give information to someone else. Someone who would betray the Saints. Let's put some hot pepper: That same mole would then realize his mistake after he/she realized the Boss he/she was working for just used him/her while lying which would then make him/her become a full Saint gang member (after a redemption... of course! It will sounds sadistic but let's not make things easy for that character. A good Saint first must proves its worth.)

That's something i wrote few times ago. It's about The Secret Kinzie Fan Club's gang, the mafia and guru stuffs, and a "Boss-like". Because the Boss needs to be confrontated to someone who has his/her level. Never wondered what would happen if he/she met him/herself with a team-like? Or his/her double (Let's say: why not in a parallele world but it would maybe be too much WTF and complicated).

Some technical stuffs:
- Random PNJ with the clothes and randoms things they made. Such a thing would promise absolutly great pics! :D Imagine a business man having a walk with a horse's head silicone mask! :D A moustache girl. Things like that because i think that SR3 and 4 miss the thing that gave the feeling that Stilwater was a living world. I love SR3 and 4 but i've the feeling it's "metro, work, sleep" for the citizens. Nothing happen :(
- Replayable missions
- Easter Eggs
- Customisable HQ
- Nightclub, shopping mall
- Better map
- A road with a looping form.
- Touristic places like beach, forest game circuit in trees, museum, ruins, undergrounds, floating island with a mini-city on it (or cats. Everyone loves cats, it's a good way to sell copies), haunted house
- FRECKLE BITCH'S!
But i guess they already know that. Hoping they'll be able to do more now they hired some new heads! :)
 
Just bring back fighting mechanics and fight club like the ones in SR2 and i put my money on your stockings Volition.
 
[1] No superpower unless it for an activities were the boss become a actor/actress in a movie.

[2] The game take place a japanese like city and you the player become a member of a "saints" theme Yakuza.

[3] Underground mall area much like SR2 with new clothes store selling clothes you can't get anywhere else.

[4] Not killing off the big bad in the middle of the plot, SRTT did this and well...

[5] New story that take place in it own world, Meaning you do not need to play the older game to understand the story.

[6] Easter Egg, The fun one & one that poke fun at the older games.

[7] Layer for clothes, better hair style, more slider.

[8] More funner activities.

[9] Toggle weapon upgrade, etc.

[10] DON'T pull a SRTT & SRIV on us this time.

Those are the thing I'd like to see in SRV.

EDIT: [11] 4 player co-op and 8 vs 8 muiltplayer.

More interiors (store, campaign and misc all in the open world)
Bring back health items from SR2.
Replayable missions.
More in-depth gang customization.
Ability to travel to both Stilwater and Steelport via a series of highways, bridges and underwater tunnels.
A more detailed Steelport.
Day\Night cycle with improved weather effects.
Bring back most of the activites from past games (except TK Mayhem, Gaurdian Angel and those atrocious Escorts from hell).
Six gangs (eight if you count Ultor and STAG) with three in Stilwater and three in Steelport.
Gangs would be the Archangels (Mongols and Hells Angels), Omega (Los Zetas and MS13), New Age Cult (Various religious extremist groups), Peoples Liberation Front (Oathkeepers and Black Bloc), Monarchs (Triad), and the Tsars (Russian Mob).
Enemy gangs are lead by familiar faces from past games.
Law enforcement groups would the Stilwater PD, Steelport PD, Sheriff's Department, FBI, National Gaurd, Ultor and STAG
Ability to customize all vehicles (for example the Challenger or the VTOLs).
More in-depth character customization (like in SR2).
Overall tone to be more in line with SR2 (Grim with a hint of dystopia) or SR3 (Flashy Dystopia with cyberpunk\near-future elements)
Improved weapon customization from SR4 or seperate weapons like SR2.
Less generic civilian NPC's.
More variety in law enforcer designs.
Have varied enemy types like in SR3.
Bigger and better DLC packs.
Improved mod support.
More destructive scenery (like in SR2).
More easter eggs.
And finally putting a bullet in three loose ends (Dex, Killbane and Monica).

More like SR1-2. Less like 3-4.

- Layered clothing (like SR2).
- Wear clothing differently (SR2 hats could be worn forward, to the side, backwards. Shirts could be untucked, unbuttoned, tucked, etc)
- Distinct neighborhoods.
- Interior maps (Malls, etc).
- Russian female voice (Hilarious in SR3).
- New city

It would be nice to have a system like this for the gang customization:

You get 2 default models in your Gang Customization tab: the male and female saint, you customize their hairs and races
Class system for the Gang Customization: Thug, Soldier, Sniper (those things....only changes their animations, weapons and behavior in combat)
you would be able to customize their clothing (for each one of the 4 gangsters)
and you would unlock new models/costumes, like: swat, army ,zombie (those models like we got in 3 and 4)
those things would be nice to have!
