Stun Gun Modding

Right now I've been messing with the weapons and trying to learn about adding and changing properties. I've currently put the stungun in the pistol slow, sped up the recharge time, shortened the delay, and added slightly more damage to it. I just wanted it to be over all more fun and worth using. However, I have tried adding in the property for it to be dual wieldable, yet I can't get it to work, it doesn't not work... the gun still wields normally, but my character will not wield 2 with the twin pistol upgrade. It doesn't fire like a pistol, just... better than it originally did. I wanted to improve it, not unbalance it.

Also, I've been trying to apply the AR-55 3 round burst function to the Kobras because I thought it would be cool, however its not working out very well. It crashes immediately when I try to add the line of code. I am using word pad with only marginal success, anyone have any advice?
 
At the moment I have only modified the Weapons.xtbl file... or .xtml... oh I can't remember the extension off the top of my head now. That's the only one I have tooled around with at the moment. I actually lowered the cool down to better suit about 2 to 4 shots before needing a long wait, but its not so over powered as you win the fight thanks to it, you're only incapacitating a few people faster. The damage I believe I set to 50 as opposed to the original 15. I believe the Kobra's were set at 160, so this is hardly a lethal setting.
 
Woot! I got the stun gun working, I found what the issue was with the flagging and the abilities, its now able to be duel wielded. :D

I also may have found something... shockingly cool. There appears to be a vast amount of weapons from SR2 in the Weapons.XBTL, I have added a few to the weapons store.xbtl and am about to see if I can buy them or they even function.
 
That's a running theme with this game, all right. If you tell it to load something it can't find, it implodes. :)

I switched the pistol trigger type to burst and succeeded only in breaking the crosshair and weapon dial UI. Maybe because of the XML formatter i used. Oh well. I have other things to investigate. Good luck!
 
They seem to have fully written out stats, I think the main issue is that they are still written half in the style of SR2 from the looks of it, its a bit beyond me, but if someone were to browse through the game, I almost hate to say this... but I think there are a few old weapons assets from SR2 that can be reimplemented. It looks like the sledge hammer, minigun, AR-50, Tec 9, and more are all listed as if they exist somewhere in this game, or maybe its just for reference.

I notice them too, I think it would be awesome if the SR2 weapons could added. I'm going to look in to this.
 
Until then I had some fun little break throughs with what can be done with weapons, decided to make a download out of it. I wish you the best of luck in figuring out how to add them Pixel.

EDIT: Sweet jiminy it looks like there's even some red faction weapons in here.
