trying to create permanent temp DLC weps

i got some DLC's and i want to try to get the DLC weapons in the normal game outside the missions but i need a bitmap code in the items_inventory.xtbl something like: ui_hud_inv. How do i get those Bitmap Codes???

The bitmap codes are just names of textures/icons. You should be able to use any icon texture referenced on any other entry in the items_inventory.xtbl.

Are you looking for a specific icon name?

hmmm i cant seem to make the weapons from DLC missions for ingame, because i have a mod for pemanent temp. i dont have all the DLC guns in the gangstas in space missions... and my game just freezes after a while of playing on the mission... is there any way of recreating those weapons so they will work in the missions again??? and is there any way of creating those weapons so they will be outside of the missions because when i tried this my game just froze... and i cant play the missions unless i remove all the weapons and mods i made myself or installed :(, so is there a way of creating them without crashing the game??? hope you can help me ;)

I've seen a few threads on the forums regarding enabling the DLC weapons outside of the DLC missions, and I'm not sure anyone has successfully figured out how to do it.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, the DLC weapon resources are loaded into mission memory with the DLC missions because there was not enough preload memory to permanently load them with all the standard weapons in the game. The main challenge will be getting the DLC weapon resources bundled up and loaded into the item preload mempool or some other permanent mempool. I know Mike (Knobby) is working on some changes for a new SR3 PC patch that will remove many of the limitations restricting modders adding new content. I will have to ask him specifically about whether the item preload mempool will be increased as part of the patch.
